Cookie Policy
What cookies floridamegamini.com sets, what each one does, and how to turn them off.
Effective Date: August 17, 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember things across requests, like that you're signed in, or that you've already dismissed a banner. Some cookies are set by the site you're visiting (“first-party”); others are set by services the site embeds (“third-party”). Closely related technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB, which we also use for the same purposes) are covered by this policy.
2. What We Use
The Florida MegaMini website uses the following categories. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking, we do not link what you do here with data from other companies, and we never share your information with data brokers or advertising networks.
Strictly necessary
- Authentication session (Supabase). Keeps you signed in to the attendee portal, vendor portal, and admin dashboard. Set as
sb-*-auth-tokencookies on the floridamegamini.com domain. Required; if you block these you cannot sign in. - Cookie-consent preference (
mm-cookie-consent, localStorage). Remembers whether you accepted or declined the cookie banner so we don't show it again. - Bot protection (Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise). Loaded on public forms (vendor registration, attendee registration, contact, login). Sets first-party and Google-domain cookies used to score whether a request looks human. Governed by Google's privacy terms.
Functional
- Push notification subscription (browser-managed). If you opt in to push notifications, your browser stores a subscription identifier so we can send session reminders and announcements via the standard Web Push protocol. You can revoke the subscription in your browser settings at any time.
- Service worker cache (Cache API). Stores static assets so portal pages load quickly when you're on the venue Wi-Fi. Cleared by your browser on cache eviction or manual reset.
Analytics
- Aggregate page analytics (Umami). A privacy-friendly analytics tool that measures aggregate visit counts and referrers without setting cross-site tracking cookies or building individual profiles. It loads only after you choose “Accept” on the banner — if you decline, or have not answered yet, the script is never added to the page. No personal data is shared with third-party advertisers.
3. The Florida MegaMini iOS App
The iOS app uses only the strictly-necessary and functional items above — the sign-in session, bot protection on forms, and your push-notification registration. It loads no analytics and shows no cookie banner, because there is nothing optional to consent to. We do not track app users across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not request permission through App Tracking Transparency because we collect no data used for tracking.
4. How to Control Cookies
- The site banner. When you first visit, you can Accept or Decline. Declining still allows the strictly-necessary cookies above (without them you can't sign in or submit forms) and opts you out of analytics.
- Browser settings. Every modern browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies, and to clear localStorage. Look for “Privacy and security” or “Site settings” in your browser preferences. Blocking the auth cookie will sign you out.
- Push and notifications. Manage notification permissions in your browser's site permissions panel. Turning them off cancels any active subscription.
- Resetting your choice. To see the consent banner again, clear localStorage for floridamegamini.com (browser dev tools → Application → Local Storage) and reload the page.
5. Retention
Authentication cookies follow the session lifetime configured by Supabase Auth (rotated regularly, expires when you sign out). The cookie-consent preference persists in localStorage until you clear it. Analytics records are retained per the vendor's default policy (currently up to one year of aggregate data, with no individual identifiers).
6. Changes
If we add a new tool or category that uses cookies, we'll update this page and revise the “Effective Date” above. The full data-collection picture is in our Privacy Policy.
